Matthew 13:11 First Mention of Mysteries (Greek Musterion "to shut the mouth")

Matthew 13:44-48 in symphony with I Corinthians 10:32, "Jews (v. 44); Church (vs. 45, 46), and Gentiles (vs. 47-60). Verses 49, 50 speak of the end time return of Christ.

Matthew 24:27-31 describes in some detail, that event. Note how 24:31 coincides with 13:49, 50, as they speak of angelic activity.

Matthew 24:32 - 25:30 are parenthetical between the prophetic declarations of 24: 27 -31, and 25:31. The direct prophecy resumes in the latter passage.

Note the distinction made in the terminology used in Matthew 13:24, 31, 44, 45, 47 ("The Kingdom of Heaven is") and 25:1 (The Kingdom of Heaven shall be").

Matthew 25:31 - 46 is the fulfillment of every Old Testament prophecy of the return of Christ (eg. Deuteronomy 30:3; Job 19:25; Psalm 24:7; Isaiah 24:23 (not every detail, but as prophesies His return to earth).

Messiah Will:

I.       Sit Upon His Throne (31) (Psalm 2:6; Isaiah 24:23; Ezekiel 37:21 - 28).

II.       Judge the Nations (32 -46) (Isaiah 24:20 - 23)

A. As Aligned with the Eternal Plan (34)

B. According to Their Treatment of Israel (33, 35 - 45). The time frame is the Tribulation Period (Jeremiah 30:6).

C. Assign their Eternal Destinies (46)
