What In This World Is God Doing?

"What in this World is God Doing?" A series of articles designed to correlate current events with Bible Prophecy. They are all a kind of commentary on that which is prophesied in the Word of God. Many events we are seeing today are the very things Bible believing preachers have been predictively declaring for decades.

Your comments and questions are always welcomed and answers not returned personally will be contained in future commentary.

FEBRUARY 3, 2012.....GOD PROMISED IT

We speak much in these dissertations concerning the future of the nation of Israel. However, there are many today who have joined the segment of theologians who deny for Israel the blessings of God.

Many well known radio/TV preachers/Bible teachers, and college founders/presidents are found within their ranks. Among those who have the ear of America, bible literalists are relatively few in number, and growing more scarce.

Some are "Preterists." [1] They believe that the entire Book of The Revelation, the last Book of the New Testament, was fulfilled in the current events of John’s day.

This would lead to the modern day development of "Replacement Theology." This is the position that takes God’s promises to Israel, away from that nation, and ascribes them to the Church. Of course, they must then be spiritualized, and/or allegorized.

I would encourage you to do three things:

First, turn in your Bible to Genesis 12:1 – 3, and itemize, in verses two and three, the seven promises of God to Abram. (You can easily discern them by simply taking the passage apart, phrase by phrase, looking at that which God promises Abram He will do.)

The promises are unconditional, and are part of the Abrahamic Covenant. This leads to the second suggestion—

If you will do the above, then a third task is necessitated. It is to ask your Pastor, favorite radio/TV preacher/teacher — before you attend another service, or spend an additional penny of support, if such holds to the above exposed erroneous positions, or to the truth, i.e. that Israel is still the Apple of God’s Eye, Deuteronomy 32:10b and that God’s promises to Abram, Isaac and Jacob continue in effect, and will be literally fulfilled.
